In families a lot of people think it's the mother's duty to do everything and the father just needs to provide. But as we read The Family - a Proclamation to the World we come to an understanding that fathers and mothers both have a solemn responsibility to raise their children with love and care and teach them the difference between good and bad. We live in a world where relationships are taken for granted whereas the Proclamation to the World helps us understand that marriage is essential because it's an eternal plan for families. We see around the world that people are abusing their spouses and children. They forget to treat each other as children of God with love and kindness.
